I wouldn't want to offend you, but I found that all but Gracie Jiu Jitsu-styles are pretty useless when it comes to real fighting. I don't mean this kind of little childish pushing and stuff, I mean fighting.
I personally train a certain MMA variation which has a lot of techniques from Gracie Jiu Jitsu, and it's porven to be very efficient against all other styles. Unless I'm figthing a guy that's at least two weight-classes above me, I can take him on if he doesn't train Gracie Jiu Jitsu or some MMA variation.
And the bad thing about normal Jiu Jitsu is, that it doesn't really teach you how to punch or kick properly. Like we all know, all major fights end up in the ground, that's why it's important to know how to punch and kick from the ground.
I've quitted Jiu Jitsu 2 years ago anyways, I'm going to the gym instead.
But yeah, Jiu Jitsu is pretty useless on the ground.
It's basicly just defending and countering when you're standing, and on the ground you learn absolutely nothing about punching and stuff.
So yeah, worthless -_-
Well, if you think Jiu Jitsu is bad, you should try karate. I did karate for 6 years, and learned NOTHING usefull. All we ever did was punch and kick air. When I started doing MMA, a whole new world opened to me!
My dad is doing Karate, I think it sucks too.

they were messing with this little Indian Kid and I was watching them..
I step in and spin kicked the first one..two of them backed off but then another one came at me i got him in a hold(I forgot what the hold was called) its where you grab the arm that they throw the punch with,twist it behind them, and put one foot on their back holding them on the floor...
I said "You Fuck with him you Fuck with Me..."
They let him be..

2 class periods later they escorted me out of the school and that was it I went back the next day like nothing happened...

Well, I don't really go to any MMA classes, I just train with my people that are know MMA. Sometimes I go to ceminars and stuff. You should really watch the upcoming UFC-tournament, I think it's number 89. There might be something on YouTube too...
